Madhuri to endrose food channel

Bollywood’s ace actress Madhuri Dixit has reportedly been chosen as the brand ambassador for chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s food channel, titled Food Food. The actress as per the reports is expected to announce her association with the brand at a press meet. At the time of going to press, her contract was still being worked around.

When Madhuri’s manager and spokesperson was contacted he confirmed the news asserting that Madhuri’s deal hasn’t been officially accepted. Meanwhile, co-owner and celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor sounded happy enough at the enquiry but refused to comment and he just told that he can’t comment on her association with his channel.

But the famous chef would really feel great if Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and even Sachin Tendulkar get associated with his channel. So, we have to wait until any official announcement will be made. Since Madhuri Dixit Nene has stepped in the public eye, her image has changed several times over.

Evergreen actress of film industry- Madhuri

In the Bollywood industry it is true that no one can compete beautiful and multi talented actress Madhuri Dixit, after marriage also Madhuri has that spark, magic which attract everyone.

Like in Bollywood industry Amitabh Bachchan is a super actor, Madhuri Dixit is a super actress of film industry. There is no one who can fit in her shoe, it is similar like fairy tale Cinderella.In the industry there are only three actress who are in born talent of acting except Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta.

Rituparno Ghosh’s Abohomaan based on Satyajit Ray’s life

>Rituparno Ghosh who directed the film Raincoat in 2004, The Last Lear in 2007, Bipasha Basu starrer Shob Charitro Kalponik, his new project Abohomaan, is based on the life of legendary filmmaker, Satyajit Ray. Satyajit Ray had some issues with his wife and son and the major part of the film focuses on that.

Even though Rituparno wanted Amitabh Bachchan to play the lead role with Shabana Azmi as his wife and the evergreen Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit and Farhan Akhtar as the actress who he is attracted to and his Big B’s son respectively, he had to settle for actor Deepankar De as the protagonist.

Mamta Shankar plays his wife and Ananya Chatterjee, the actress. Jishu Sengupta plays the son. The movie is produced by Reliance Big Pictures. The famous film director has also directed a 2009 flick Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam.

Madhuri and many more stars in Mahabharat

A big crew of actors will be seen in the forthcoming movie “Mahabharat” under the banner of B. R. Chopra. The crew of the actors will be as: Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpai, Kabir Bedi, Juhi Chawla, Dharmendra, Madhuri Dixit, Kamal Hassan, Meera Jasmine, Karan Johar, Ajith, Kajol, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Trisha Krishnan, Madhavan, Mohan Lal, R. Siddharth Narayan, Naveen Nischol, Rajnikant, Shreya, Jackie Shroff, Sridevi, Preity Zinta, Chiyaan Vikram, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Sohail Khan.

Amazingly the three khans will also join each other in the movie.Big B is known to be an icon. Big B may also play the role of ‘Bhishma’ in Ravi Chopra’s film version of “Mahabharata”. Ravi Chopra is all set to make a film version of Mahabharata under his home production banner B.R Films. The television version of Mahabharata was also launched by B.R Films and went onto become extremely popular worldwide. The buzz in the industry is that Ravi wants Amitabh to play the role of ‘Bhishma’ and Rani Mukherjee to play the role of ‘Draupadi’ in his film version of Mahabharata. This six hour movie which will be the longest film in the history of Bollywood. But Chopra is quick to clarify this aspect saying that he will release it in two parts-part one on one Friday and the second part on the other one. Chopra intends to work on both films simultaneously and has allotted a budget of Rs.150 crores for both the parts together. The film version will also have a lot more glamour and first class special effects.

Tezaab should be remained untouched

Madhuri Dixit, the dhak dhak girl of bollywood, denied being the part of the remake of N Chandra’s Tezzab, the film which made her a sensation in the bollywood. Madhuri Dixit is of the opinion that films like Tezaab should be left alone as they are master pieces and can never be re-made successfully. After all old is gold.

The original magic will never return to a remake as was the case of Shah Rukh starrer ‘ Don’, which was a remake of the Amitabh Bachchan- Zeenat Aman’s ‘ Don’, but failed at the box office.

Earlier in an interview Madhuri said, ‘I don’t think I would like the Tezaab to be remade. There are some films which should remain untouched. No one has approached me to do a cameo in the film. As far as I know, it’s not a remake but a sequel to Tezaab. It’s a different movie.’

However, as Madhuri Dixit was leaving for the US, after a three-month-spell for Yashraj Films’ Aaja Nachle, she was very excited about her working experience with Yash Chopra. Madhuri’s working with the unit was like working in the family. There were no bitter feelings or negativity around the set while working with co-stars.

Madhuri at Unforgettable Tour

The Unforgettable Tour in 2008 saw dancing diva Madhuri Dixit alongside the whole Bachchan clan. After her performance at the Unforgettable world tour in Los Angeles, Madhuri Dixit Nene’s family — her husband, two children and a few relatives — went backstage to meet her.

She got a wonderful response from them especially from her children. Her first born, the five-year old son, she recalled the other day in Atlantic City as she was getting ready to perform again, stood in a corner of the room. He had the kind of expression that asked, was it really you dancing on that stage with all those gorgeous costumes? “He would not come to me for a few moments,” she said with a chuckle. “He was very shy.” Her children hugged her, telling her that she not only loved her but also loved watching her. “I could not have asked for more,” she said.

Madhuri, whose hits include Hum Aapke Hai Koun…!, Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Devdas have been seen by her family.

It was not easy though for the promoters of the Unforgettable show to convince Madhuri, who lives in Denver with husband Dr Shriram Nene, to perform in a number of venues including Atlantic City and New York.

But when she heard that Amitabh Bachchan — who describes her as an icon of Indian cinema — was very keen on having her in the show, she began to giving it a serious thought.

Madhuri made it clear to the show’s organisers that she will only do the American leg — the show has already been to Trinidad and Toronto and will be showing up in London and Rotterdam.
The cast of the Unforgetatble Tour also included Preity Zinta and Riteish Deshmukh.

In American cities, one of the highlights of the evening comes towards the end of the three hour long show when Aishwarya and Madhuri dance to Dola Re Dola from their big hit Devdas.

Before that penultimate number, Madhuri held her ground as she lip-synched to several of her hit songs and danced vigorously — whether it was the Ek Do Teen number from Teezab, or the Que Sera Sera hit from Pukar.

There were no acts involving Amitabh and Madhuri but at the finale when the entire cast danced to the Jhoom Bharbhar Jhoom theme song, she finally shared the stage with the Big B.
