Bollywood’s dancing queen Madhuri Dixit graced a hair and make-up fashion week in Mumbai, India. The fashion week was conceptualised by Bollywood’s experienced make-up artist and hair stylist couple Bharat and Dorris.
The event aimed to give recognition to the make-up artists and hair stylists who otherwise remain backstage. Both experienced and budding make-up and hair stylists participated in the event.
Madhuri Dixit who inaugurated the event told reporters that the fashion week provided a platform for many artists behind the beautiful on screen faces.
“Today, everybody from kids to elders are conscious about their beauty, about how they dress and what they wear. And today by attending fashion week, I am feeling very happy that these make-up artists who were ignored personnel are given recognition. Fashion weeks are held for dress designers, but I think this is first time it is being organised for hair dressers and fashion artists,” said dancing queen Madhuri Dixit.
Mads returned to the screen after a six-year break in 2007 with movie based on dance, ‘Aaja Nachle‘.
Madhuri Dixit gave many super hit films in her illustrious career. Critics may differ about her best films. Madhuri Dixit is settled in Denver since her wedding in October 1999.
Madhuri Dixit last film was Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s “Devdas” in 2002. In an interview with TWF correspondent Vickey Lalwani, she talks about her comeback film, stay in Mumbai, husband, kids and future plans.
Aaja Nachle has been a very satisfying experience for the actress. Mads says that almost everybody has become very organised. Yash Raj Films were very organised even before, but now they are super organised. The technology has become wonderful and that really helps.
Madhuri wants to do films and roles which will satisfy her creative instincts and worthy of buying a ticket in a theatre. But Madhuri’s first priority will always be her family. Madhuri Dixit will always consider where the film is being shot and if it is covenient for her to shoot in that place. Frankly, Madhuri Dixit will work at her own pace.

Nikki Aneja, now Niki Aneja Walia, who has always been termed as
television’s Madhuri Dixit is making a comeback, and here is she
speaking about the similarities she shares with the great actress..
Nikki Aneja Walia who created waves with her sensational performance
in Ananda Telefilms’ Astitva Ek Prem Kahaani is all set for her
comeback with Ajay Sinha’s yet another show, Ghar Ek Sapna on Sahara
One.
It does not come as a surprise to Nikki when one addresses her to be
television’s Madhuri Dixit Nene because of various similarities.
Talking about the similarities she finds between herself and the great
actress, we can easily make-out the looks. The two are married abroad.
They have similar smiles, and have done films with Anil
Kapoor.Remember Mr.Azaad???
Niki is living with this identity since 16 years. Now one more
similarity gets added to the kitty, mainly because Madhuri balances
her professional and personal life by making frequent trips between
U.S.A. and Mumbai, while Niki will be doing the same between U.K. and
Mumbai. She also has to leave her kids there and same is the case with
me. Neither like to be here alone without her children nor Niki.
Since years she have been the Madhuri Dixit of small screen and she
likes it that way.
There are surely similarities between the two, but now it is to be
seen how Nikki fairs in her second innings on TV.
Hope not exactly like Madhuri…Aaja nach Le was not a rage!!!
Mumbai witnessed the grand finale of the most awaited, credible and prestigious beauty contest of the year ‘Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2009’. The announcement of the winners came amidst a glittering star studded ceremony at the Andheri Sports Complex on Sunday, 5th April.
Madhuri Dixit’s allure lies in her classic good looks and poise. The EK DO TEEN diva is tagged as an outstanding dancer adding that extra bit of spice to the film screens.

Kangana Ranaut was all set to perform at the grand finale to pay tribute to two screen queens Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and when Kangna got to know that Priyanka Chopra would also be dancing, she decided to let her groove to the songs of Fashion.

“I think girl bonding is very cool. I can’t say Priyanka and I are best friends. I think two actresses fighting is very unfashionable. After ‘Fashion’ there’s a comfort level. And if we can share a platform without getting in one another’s way then isn’t that just great,” Kangana said.

Kangana performed on Madhuri’s Mera piya ghar aaya and Aishwarya’s Nimbooda. So much for the belief that two actresses can never get along together. Ironically Priyanka too shared the stage with Kangana. After Fashion there’s a comfort level between the two hot and sizzling actresses.
