The dream girls of Bollywood industry could not asked for a better way to begin the next millennium. Madhuri was dressed in the peach ghagra-choli and radiating her trademark thousand watt smile. Madhuri Dixit flanked by her husband Dr. Sriram Nene welcomed the guests at her reception in The Club at Andheri.

She was looking awesome, when she stepped in a guest murmured that she was looking like a Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, light music in the background lent a softness to the ambience. In the party many delegates were invited like Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Sena chief BalThackeray and Raj Thackeray gracing the occasion.

From the Bollywood industry Sanjay Khan, Feroze Khan, Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, Yash Chopra, Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar and the Barjatya clan and of course, MF Hussain. Dilip Kumar said that Dr. Nene was looking handsome, they both look like made for each other. And madhuri Dixit is a sweet and humble girl.

Madhuri’s care of sons

How can the actress Madhuri Dixit be wooed to work for any project? The simple answer lies in taking care of her sons. This has been proved in the past and in the present scenario same has been proved.madhuri-dixit

When Madhuri did a comeback in bollywood with her film ‘Aaja Nachley‘ it was because of the efforts of Yash Chopra. At the sets producer Yash Chopra had made arrangements for Madhuri’s two little sons by providing them with a playing area. And now it looks that the actress expects the same from all others.

She could not make it to DPL only because the producers could not search for a nanny for her kids. Now also to be part of Krishna Shah’s biopic on Late Prime Minister of India she is considering the location because she does not want to part away from her sons.

We wonder how long the actress will continue like this?

Best of Madhuri Dixit Films

Tezaab
Ah, the breakout film! This 1988 N. Chandra movie brought Madhuri to the forefront, kicking things off for Bollywood’s biggest female superstar. Opposite Anil Kapoor, the duo never looked back and the crowd couldn’t get enough of the bright-eyed Ek do teen girl.

Madhuri Dixit

Beta
Thanks to ace choreographer Saroj Khan, Madhuri’s always had memorable songs. This 1992 Indra Kumar film featured the provocative smash, Dhak dhak karne laga. A deceptively strong drama, Beta revolved around son Anil Kapoor’s superstrong bond with mother Aruna Irani, a tie that choked Madhuri as his lover. Until she spurred him on to fight back.

Dil To Pagal Hai
In 1997 came a dream romantic project. No one directed a love story like Yash Chopra. No man was finer at it than Shah Rukh. In stepped Madhuri in this Shiamak Dawar-choreographed musical. Chopra directed with restraint and finesse, and a highly polished script makes this a very watchable film. The chemistry between the lead actors is palpable, resulting in a product that made a whole new generation fall in love with Mads.

Dil
Indra Kumar’s 1990 film is one of those that would be much more palatable if Madhuri wasn’t wearing those ridiculous clothes.Still, the story of young love serves as testament to the dazzling actress, as she constantly steals the show from co-star Aamir Khan, winning a well-deserved first Best Actress award in the process.

Madhuri Dixit in Dil

Hum Aapke Hain Kaun
The biggest film in Bollywood box office history, this one’s a justifiably popular pick.Sooraj Barjatya’s 1994 slice-of-wedding-cake
film starred Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan as innocent and carefree kids who can’t help falling in love. Madhuri’s Nisha was stunning, enthused, plucky and irresistible. The situation goes from heavenly to godforsaken, and while the end remains a stretch, the film broke new ground and changed Bollywood convention forever.

Tezaab should be remained untouched

June 24, 2009 1 comment

Madhuri Dixit, the dhak dhak girl of bollywood, denied being the part of the remake of N Chandra’s Tezzab, the film which made her a sensation in the bollywood. Madhuri Dixit is of the opinion that films like Tezaab should be left alone as they are master pieces and can never be re-made successfully. After all old is gold.

The original magic will never return to a remake as was the case of Shah Rukh starrer ‘ Don’, which was a remake of the Amitabh Bachchan- Zeenat Aman’s ‘ Don’, but failed at the box office.

Earlier in an interview Madhuri said, ‘I don’t think I would like the Tezaab to be remade. There are some films which should remain untouched. No one has approached me to do a cameo in the film. As far as I know, it’s not a remake but a sequel to Tezaab. It’s a different movie.’

However, as Madhuri Dixit was leaving for the US, after a three-month-spell for Yashraj FilmsAaja Nachle, she was very excited about her working experience with Yash Chopra. Madhuri’s working with the unit was like working in the family. There were no bitter feelings or negativity around the set while working with co-stars.

However, a ban was imposed on film in the city of Patna on 2 December, 2007. The issue was also raised in the Indian Parliament (Lok Sabha) by RPI member Ramdas Athawale seeking a ban by the government for hurting Dalit sentiments, but Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi said that it was state government’s decision to
take any such action.

Madhuri fans celebrated her return with the beating of the drums at theatres before the first show on the first day of release. Yet another high profile Madhuri fan M.F.
